Como Zoo!

Craig is taking me on 5 surprise phases for my birthday! Phase 1 was lunch at the Olive Garden and our server Rhory, a complete stranger, was so sweet and gave me a bday card!

This past weekend, April 15th-17th, I had the privilege of speaking at a Mother Daughter Retreat at Camp Lebanon in Upsala, MN. I went into the weekend completely drained, not knowing at the time that I had Mono (I found out on Monday). Needless to say, I felt VERY weak and incapable. I dug deep and relied on the strength that God promises to provide to those that know Him and call on Him. I really experienced the truth from 2 Corinthians 12:9-10: But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
This weekend turned out to be a success – and it was NOT because of me. I had nothing to offer – it was totally God working through me and I am so humbled to have been used. I am grateful for all the sweet affirmation I received throughout the weekend and through emails. I’ll pass that on to God

If you live in the Northern California area or will be near your computer tomorrow morning, April 16th, tune into Good Day Sacramento to watch me live on the morning news show. I’ll be Skyped in sometime between 11:30am and noon Central Standard Time, but they’ll be highlighting me throughout the show, sharing videos and pictures, in honor of National Cheese Ball Day! You can watch the show at http://gooddaysacramento.cbslocal.com/
