On my flight from Minneapolis to Atlanta, Dorrie and Ruthie, two of the flight attendants, asked me to come to the back galley of the plane so they could take pictures with me and hear the whole story. At first I thought they said “Back Alley” and I was utterly confused!

After a few minutes of conversing with my new friendly flight attendants, Dorrie turned to me and asked, “How do you deal with tough times?” Wow! That’s the kind of question you pray you’ll hear from someone, but can’t believe it when you do!
For the next half an hour I entertained Dorrie’s queries and shared from my heart as I reflected on my own past experiences. I told her that it has been the deepest of valleys in my life that have ultimately brought about the greatest joys and victories.
With passion, I shared that my relationship with Jesus and the Truth from God’s Word are what kept me from giving up completely. Ruthie jumped in and shared some scripture too and offerered encouragement. That was really cool!
Half way through this discussion the plane began it’s final descent. There were more noises than ever, and my popping ears were competing with the conversation. I found myself talking louder and louder and soon realized that the entire back half of the plane was hearing this faith-filled dialouge!
It was an honor to be able to speak Truth into Dorrie’s life and soul (and everyone else in the back of the plane!). Dorrie, if you are reading this, I’ve been praying for you and will continue to do so. Thanks for giving me and my cheese balls an opportunity to bring you some joy and a chance to tell you about Jesus.
